Srinagar, 20 October (Hindustan Reporter). Seven laborers including a doctor have died in a major terrorist attack in Ganderbal, Jammu and Kashmir. Five other people were injured in the attack and are being treated at SKIMS Srinagar and Sub District Hospital. The terrorist organization The Resistance Front (TRF) has taken responsibility for the attack. Which is a branch of the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba.
Regarding the terrorist attack, police officials have said that the attackers fired indiscriminately at a labor camp on Sunday night. In this camp, workers of a company engaged in the construction of Z-Morh tunnel in Gagangir on Srinagar-Leh National Highway were staying. The attack is being described as target killing.
Officials said that two laborers died on the spot in the attack, while five others, including a doctor, died later. Five injured have been admitted to Sub District Hospital and SKIMS Srinagar. At present, a team of security forces is present at the spot and a search operation is going on in the area.
The deceased have been identified as Gurdaspur Punjab resident Gurmeet Singh, Budgam resident Dr Shahnawaz, Anil Kumar Shukla, Faheem Nazir, Shashi Abrol, Mohammad Hanif and Kaleem.
