JMM panicked due to fear of defeat, raised questions on Election Commission's decision: Pratul Shahdev

Ranchi, 15 October (HS). BJP state spokesperson Pratul Shahdev on Tuesday welcomed the Election Commission's announcement of holding elections in two phases and said that Jharkhand Mukti Morcha was unnecessarily objecting to it.

Pratul said that it is clearly mentioned in the Constitution that the Election Commission is capable of conducting elections up to 6 months in advance in election-bound states. In Jharkhand, this government has ruled loot and corruption for 59 months. Then why are they so restless for a month? Pratul said that Chief Minister Hemant Soren has also said many times that we are ready for elections at any time. Then why this hesitation after the announcement of elections?

Pratul said that in fact they know that they have cheated every section of the society in Jharkhand. The public is ready to hurt this government through votes. The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha led government knows that this will be their last government in Jharkhand. Because, in last 5 years, this state has seen an orgy of corruption, women oppression, breaking of promises to the youth, loot, fraud and scams. Now the public wants freedom from this.

Pratul said that the public is most excited by this election. Because, it needs freedom from the corrupt rule of Hemant Soren for 5 years. Pratul said that 02 crore 60 lakh people of the state will cast their votes on 13 and 20 November to oust Hemant government. There will be a massive victory for the BJP led NDA alliance in this election and the Hemant government will be reduced to the pages of history.
