The country's giant and Mukesh Ambani's company Reliance Industries can give a big gift to its shareholders today on October 14. The company may also announce the record date for allotting one to one bonus shares to the shareholders during its board meeting. It is believed that the record date can be fixed before Diwali. The company had decided to issue 1:1 bonus shares to the shareholders in the annual general meeting held in September. This means that along with one share, one bonus share of RIL will be given free of cost.
Reliance Industries' bonus share offer will be the largest in the Indian stock market. Exact information about its record date is not yet available. But today i.e. on Monday it can be approved. If the record date is announced then strong action can be seen in Reliance shares also. On Friday, shares of Reliance Industries reached Rs 2,749 with a slight rise.
Investors' stake will double
When Reliance Industries sends the bonus shares to your demat account, the number of your Reliance shares will be doubled. That is, if you have bought shares of Reliance Industries at the current price of Rs 2,749, then after the issue of bonus shares, the number of shares invested in Reliance in the demat account will double. Actually, bonus shares are being discussed because the meeting of the Board of Directors of Reliance Industries is going to be held today i.e. on 14 October 2024.
On September 5, the board of Reliance approved the issuance of bonus shares in the ratio of 1:1. 1:1 Bonus Share means that for every share invested by the investors in Reliance shares, they will get one share as free i.e. bonus.
Reliance company will announce bonus shares after 7 years
The face value of Reliance Industries shares has been fixed at Rs 10 per share. This means that one share is worth Rs. New equity shares of face value Rs 10 will be issued. However, the benefit of bonus shares will be available only to those investors who can purchase shares till the record date. This is the first time in a year when Reliance Industries can give bonus. Reliance had earlier issued 1:1 bonus shares in September 2017. Earlier in the year 2009 also similar bonus shares were issued.
Reliance will make another big announcement
After the board meeting on October 14, Reliance Industries is also going to declare its September quarter results. According to the exchange filing, the board is likely to approve the stand-alone and consolidated unaudited financial results of Reliance for the quarter and six months ending September 30, 2024.
