Stock News: Sensex-Nifty closed with a decline on the last day of trading | News India

Today i.e. on Friday, shares of 22 out of 30 Sensex companies closed in the red mark and shares of the remaining 8 companies closed in the green mark. Similarly, out of 50 companies included in Nifty 50, shares of 37 companies closed in the red mark and shares of 13 companies closed in the green mark.

These stocks are divided into midcap and smallcap.

The biggest losers in the midcap category were M&M Finance shares which fell 6.95 per cent to Rs 299.75, Godrej Properties fell 5.68 per cent to Rs 2893.90, while Go-Digit shares fell 4.92 per cent to Rs 379.15. Among small caps, Vakrangee shares fell 9.98 per cent to Rs 30.76 and Reliance Infra fell 7.81 per cent to Rs 301.40.

Investors lost Rs 3.70 lakh crore in the market

Investors are facing huge losses due to selling in the Indian stock market on the last day of trading today. The market cap of stocks listed on BSE fell to Rs 461.05 lakh crore, which had closed at Rs 465.05 lakh crore in the previous session. That means investors have suffered a loss of Rs 3.70 lakh crore in today's session. This week the market cap of the Indian stock market has decreased by Rs 17 lakh crore.

The market witnessed the fourth biggest decline of the year on Thursday

Earlier yesterday i.e. on October 3, the fourth biggest decline of the year was seen in the stock market. The Sensex fell 1,769 points or 2.10 per cent to close at 82,497. At the same time, Nifty also fell by 546 points or 2.12 percent and closed at 25,250. Auto, energy, finance and banking stocks fell further.
