Dehradun, 16 February (HS). The Central Government has given a big gift to Uttarakhand. 108 roads under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) have been approved, the benefits of which will now be available to the rural areas of Uttarakhand. Rural Development Minister Ganesh Joshi has expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Rural Development Minister Giriraj Singh as well as State Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.
On Friday, Rural Development Minister Ganesh Joshi met Union Rural Development Minister Giriraj Singh in New Delhi and expressed his gratitude to him. The Central Government has approved 108 roads of 1197.207 km length to be built at a cost of Rs 967.73 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana PMGSY-III in Uttarakhand.
Minister Ganesh Joshi said that since Uttarakhand is a mountainous state, life here is full of many difficulties. The people of the state also have to face natural disasters every year. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the Rural Development Department is continuously touching new dimensions of development.
