ID card will be issued by the Street Vending Committee
The Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu government of the state has decided to make ID cards mandatory after receiving many complaints. Under the new policy, food vendors will now have to put up their name plates. ID cards will also have to be shown. All types of vendors will have to display their name and photo identity card. All of them will also be registered. ID cards will be issued by the Street Vending Committee.
A decision prompted by anxiety and doubt
Himachal Pradesh Urban Development Minister Vikramaditya Singh on formulating a new policy in the state said, We had an important meeting with the Urban Development Department and Municipal Corporation. It has been decided to ensure that all street vendors sell hygienic food. Especially for food vendors.
Every shopkeeper and street vendor will have to show their identity card
The Urban Development Minister said, “The common people had expressed their concern and apprehension in this regard and keeping this in mind, we have decided to implement the same policy as in Uttar Pradesh. It has been made mandatory for vendors to show their name and ID card.” Now every shopkeeper and street vendor will have to show their identity card.

Earlier today, Vikramaditya Singh posted a post on social media with the news of CM Yogi's photo. In which he talked about the ID and name of the owners of fast food, street vendors and dhabas, so that no one faces any problem. He said that instructions for this were issued in the meeting of Urban Development and Municipal Corporation yesterday.
What decision did the Yogi government take?
A day earlier on Tuesday, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath had issued instructions to mandatorily display the names and addresses of managers, owners and operators of all food centres in view of incidents of spitting and mixing urine in food items in the state.
Strict action was ordered against adulterators
CM Yogi also directed that chefs and waiters should wear masks and gloves. Not only this, it should be made mandatory to install CCTV cameras in hotels and restaurants. A statement issued by the government said that in a high-level meeting, CM Yogi said that the presence of human waste in food items is wrong. The Chief Minister ordered strict action against those who adulterate food items with human waste or dirty things.
