Society's participation and mutual coordination necessary for cow protection: Minister Patel

Bhopal, March 6 (HS). Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Prahlad Singh Patel said that society's participation and mutual coordination is very important for cow protection. All of us can face the difficulties that arise in the maintenance of cow sheds and protection of mother cows.

Minister Patel was addressing the “Cow Protection Dialogue” workshop on Wednesday at Kushabhau Thackeray Auditorium in Bhopal. He said that I myself am running the cow sanctuary in Damoh district. The suggestions that came in today's session regarding problems like community grazing rights, transportation of straw, distance of cow shed from the highway etc. will be discussed at the government level and a decision will be taken soon.

Minister Patel said that the potential and usefulness of the indigenous cow is praised all over the world, we also have to make people aware about the conservation of the indigenous cow at the grassroots level. We have to spread the spirit of cow service to every person in the society. Whatever administrative obstacles there are for better management of cow shelters will definitely be eliminated. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, important decisions will be taken by the government for cow welfare and better management of cow shelters.

A workshop for beneficiaries on “Cow Protection Dialogue” and better management of destitute cow progeny and cow shelters was organized at Kushabhau Thakre Auditorium on Wednesday. In the workshop, a special session was organized on administrative aspects related to cowshed management under the chairmanship of Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Patel. In the session, five panelists and two subject experts presented their views on cow protection, milk processed products, utility of cow urine and dung and other topics. Gaushala operators gave many suggestions for better management. Additional Chief Secretary of Panchayat and Rural Development Department Malay Srivastava and officials of Animal Husbandry Department were also present.
