Saharsa, 16 February (HS). On Friday, on the nationwide call of United Kisan Morcha and Central Labor Organizations, a protest march was taken out from Veer Kunwar Singh Chowk and dozens of other organizations associated with CITU, Bihar Rajya Kisan Sabha, AITUC and INTUC raised deafening slogans against the Central Government and the State Government. Leaders and workers demonstrated at the district headquarters.
On the nationwide call of United Kisan Morcha and United Trend Union, an appeal was made to the common people today to make the Bharat Bandh and Chakka Jam successful against the anti-farmer, anti-labor, anti-people policies of the Central Government. A symbolic demonstration of Bharat Bandh was carried out by freeing roads, shops and vehicles from jams.
Farmer leader Parmanand Thakur and state leader Vinod Kumar Jha were agitating for other demands like giving MSP to farmers, opposing government institutions in the hands of private and corporate houses and implementing the old Labor Code Bill. There were massive protests against firing tear gas on them.
