The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has created a new record by providing placement to 8,000 Chartered Accountants (CAs) in 2024. This figure was achieved through the 59th and 60th campus placement programs this year.
Placement Program Statistics
- 59th Campus Placement (February-March 2024):
- Exam: November 2023 CTET session.
- Offers: 3,002 job offers.
- 60th Campus Placement (May-June 2024):
- Exam: May 2024.
- Offers: 4,782 job offers.
Features of placement drive
- Participation of companies:
- 241 companies participated in the 60th campus placement.
- 140 companies participated in the 59th placement.
- Best Package:
- Highest package of ₹26.70 lakh per annum (by Power Finance Corporation) in 60th programme.
- 59th placement with best package at ₹29 lakh annually (by Diageo India).
- average salary:
- 59th placement: ₹13.24 lakh per annum.
- 60th placement: ₹12.49 lakh per annum.
Programs organized across the country
ICAI conducts campus placement drives twice every year.
- Grand Central:
- Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai, Delhi, and Pune.
- Small Centre:
- Drives also organized in 20 small towns.
Dheeraj Khandelwal, Chairman, Committee for Members in Industry and Business, ICAI, said that this year more than 8,000 CAs have got employment in renowned companies, which shows the increasing demand for CAs in the job market.
Overseas Placement Initiative
- date:
- ICAI will conduct Overseas Placement Drive on 24th and 25th January 2025.
- Eligibility:
- Members who have obtained membership of ICAI till 31 October 2023.
- Special Initiative:
- ICAI started recruitment for UAE-based companies in 2018.
- This year, overseas placements will be conducted in Asia, Australia, Europe, America and Africa.
- Interviews will be online and selected candidates will work abroad.
