News India Live, Digital Desk: Nestlé, one of the world’s largest food companies, fought when the company fired its 38 -year -old employee and Latin America Zone CEO Laurent Freixe with immediate effect. 64 -year -old Frexe is alleged to have created personal relations with a subordinate woman employee in violating the Code of Conduct of the company.
The matter came to light when someone complained to the company, after which Nestle made an internal probe. After the allegations were found to be true in the investigation, the company showed such a way out to such a senior and old officer without any delay.
What is the whole matter?
Large companies like Nestle hold a strict code of conduct for their employees, especially the officers sitting in senior positions. Under this, no manager or boss can create such a personal or romantic relationship with any employee working under them, which will lead to conflict of interest. Its purpose is to ensure that the office environment remains professional and no employee gets wrong benefits or discrimination with anyone.
This is what happened in the case of Laurent Frexy. The internal investigation proved that he had relations with one of his junior female colleagues. The company said in its statement, “Nestle has abolished employment with Laurent Frexy as they violated our code of conduct. This decision has been taken after an internal investigation.”
Who are Laurent Fraxe?
Laurent Frax was a very big name for Nestle. He joined the company in 1986 and worked in many big positions in the last 38 years. He was also part of the company’s Executive Board. For the last 10 years, he was leading a big business as a CEO of the Latin America region. The company accepted his contribution but also made it clear that violation of the rules would not be tolerated at any cost.
Nestle has not yet made a permanent appointment of anyone in his place. The company’s Latin America’s Head of Operations, Felip Riano, will temporarily handle the responsibilities of Frexy.
This case presents a big vision in the corporate world that no matter how big the post is, there is nothing more than the rules and moral values of the company.
