25 countries including UAE, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan can form 'Islamic NATO'! Know what impact it will have on India

Islamic NATO: More than 25 Muslim countries are preparing to form an organization on the lines of NATO to deal with terrorism and other challenges. Its name could be Islamic NATO or Muslim NATO. It will conduct anti-terrorism operations like NATO.

According to reports, there is no clarity yet on the number of member countries of this group, but according to an estimate, 25 countries of Asia and Africa may join it. The main members of this proposed group will be Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Turkey, Egypt, United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Malaysia.

Many partner countries are also supporting this Islamic NATO. It is being said that Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia and Libya can become Islamic NATO partners. Apart from this, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Brunei have expressed their desire to join it as associate members.

What is the purpose behind this structure?

According to reports, the intention behind forming an organization like NATO is that these Muslim countries will work together against terrorism. They will help each other in modernizing their respective armies. It will fight external difficulties for the internal stability of its member countries.

What effect will this have on India?

If we look at the impact on India of becoming an Islamic NATO like NATO, there are some issues which may increase the concern of the government. Some experts believe that if Islamic NATO is formed then the Kashmir dispute may increase. This group may try to put pressure on India. With the formation of this group, Pakistan will become stronger and it may have to face security related problems on the border.
