Zika virus confirmed again in India

Most people have heard the name of Zika virus, especially in India, at one time this virus spread a lot of concern and panic. Because the Zika virus was not as wild as any other during the corona. Thus the fear of Zika virus has not subsided.

The virus, which had become deadly in parts of Africa and Asia, has now re-emerged in India. Zika virus is a mosquito-borne disease. The disease spreads when a mosquito carrying the Aedes aegypti, Plague virus bites a human. The disease is spread by daytime biting mosquitoes.

First identified in Uganda in 1947, Zika has since spread to many parts of the world, with outbreaks in Africa, Southeast Asia, the Pacific Islands, and the Americas. The latest Zika case report in Pune was confirmed by the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) on June 21. The patient is a 46-year-old doctor and his daughter has also tested positive.

How does Zika virus spread?

The first symptom is a low-grade fever, usually a low-grade fever. This initially causes red spots on the face and also a bump or itching.

In some cases, abdominal pain, vomiting, muscle cramps, and fatigue do not appear.

What is the treatment?

Currently, there is no specific antiviral treatment for Zika virus. Your body needs plenty of rest to help fight the infection. Drink water, juices, especially if vomiting or diarrhea is experienced, to prevent dehydration. Drink more water.

Stay indoors, use insect repellent, wear long-sleeved clothes and pants. Eat immunity-boosting foods and fruits.

How to prevent Zika virus?

Be careful not to get bitten by mosquitoes where Zika virus has been found and wear full-sleeved clothes. Or clean the area around the house to prevent mosquito breeding. It is better to wear a mosquito net. Do not allow water to accumulate around the house, put mosquito nets on doors and kitchens. Use mosquito nets for the bed. Spray mosquito repellents around the house. Children and pregnant women should wear full-sleeved loose clothes to avoid mosquito bites. Not only this, consume foods that increase immunity. If you have a fever, consult a doctor immediately and get your blood tested without delay.
