Dhaka: After the political coup in Bangladesh and the departure of Sheikh Hasina, the interim government was finally formed on Thursday. Nobel laureate Mohammad Yunus took oath as the head of the interim government at Banga Bhavan on Thursday evening. Despite the formation of a new government in Bangladesh, the future of minorities including Hindus still looks bleak. Thousands of Hindus fled Bangladesh and tried to enter West Bengal and Bihar. Amidst all this, Sheikh Hasina's son Sajib Wazed Joy said that Sheikh Hasina can return to her homeland after the restoration of democracy in Bangladesh.

A 16-member interim government, including Nobel laureate Mohammad Yunus, was finally formed on Thursday after Sheikh Hasina fled the country on Monday as student protests against reservation turned violent. The new government also included student leaders who led the reservation protests against Sheikh Hasina.

After the formation of this government, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Mohammad Yunus. PM Modi said that it is hoped that the situation in Bangladesh will return to normal soon. The interests of Hindus and other minority communities will be ensured there. An official of the Indian Embassy was also invited to the swearing-in ceremony of the new interim government. However, it is not known whether he was present or not. Meanwhile, after taking oath, Mohammad Yunus promised to give such a government to the people of Bangladesh. However, the situation remains tense for minorities including Hindus in Bangladesh. Hindus are being persecuted after Sheikh Hasina left the country. Due to attacks by radical elements, more than 1,500 Bangladeshis tried to enter India from the border of West Bengal and Bihar, but BSF jawans stopped them. Hindus told BSF jawans that their houses and temples have been burnt. They want to take refuge in India.

On the other hand, Dhaka residents claimed on social media that they were living under the threat of armed robbers.

Amidst all this, Sheikh Hasina's son Sajeeb Wazed Joy said that Pakistan's spy agency ISI is behind the coup in Bangladesh. However, Sheikh Hasina will return to her country after the restoration of democracy in the country. 76-year-old Sheikh Hasina will definitely return to Bangladesh.

However, he has not yet decided whether he will retire or return to active politics. Meanwhile, sources said that Sheikh Hasina's staff has started preparations to fly from India.
