Gurugram, May 27 (HS). Gurugram police has arrested YouTuber Bobby Kataria on charges of human trafficking in the name of getting jobs abroad. The victim youth had seen Bobby Kataria's job advertisement on YouTube channel. After this, they contacted Bobby Kataria and lost lakhs of rupees. Police is investigating the matter. Let us tell you that Bobby Kataria has been in controversies even before this. He came into controversies for smoking cigarettes in an airplane and drinking alcohol while sitting on the highway.
According to the police, Arun Kumar, son of Kamal Kishore, a resident of Gopalganj Kalyanpur Fatehpur, Uttar Pradesh, lodged a complaint with the police and said that he and his friend/victim Manish Tomar, son of Sheeshpal Tomar, village Dholana, district Hapur, Uttar Pradesh were unemployed. They saw the ID and YouTube channel of a person named Bobby Kataria on Instagram at their own level. On which there was an advertisement to contact for getting a job abroad. They contacted Bobby Kataria on his mobile number. Similarly, his friend Manish Tomar also met Bobby and got himself registered. Then Bobby Kataria cheated both the youths of lakhs of rupees in the name of job abroad. Both were sent to the foreign country.
When both of them landed at Vanteen Airport, they met a person named Abhi. He introduced himself as Bobby Kataria's friend and a Pakistani agent. He took both of them to a hotel. The next day Abhi booked their tickets for the Navtui train and made them board the train. From Navtui station, Abhi got them to Golden Triangle by taxi. There they met a person named Ankit Shaukin and Nitish Sharma alias Rocky. They took them to a Chinese company. They were beaten up there. Their passports were forcibly taken away. They were also forced to commit cyber fraud with American people.
The victim youths said in the complaint that about 150 Indians were brought to that company in this way through human trafficking. There were women among them too. For two days, both the youths worked as per their instructions. On the third day, seeing an opportunity, they fled from there and reached the Indian Embassy. From where they were sent to India. The victim youths alleged that brokers like Bobby Kataria are involved in human trafficking. Strict action should be taken against this. Police has arrested Bobby Kataria on this complaint.
