Youth should contribute in promoting Dogra culture: Prof. Mohtra

Jammu, July 16 (HS). On Tuesday, a team of Dogra youth organized a program at Bantalab in Jammu. A large number of youth were presented with Dogra turbans at the function. Prof. (Dr.) Kulbhushan Mohtra was the chief guest and Dil Bahadur Singh was the special guest at the function. Mohtra said that Parmeshwari Care and Cure Charitable Trust started the mission of promoting Dogra culture a few months ago and during the last few months, many programs were organized in different parts of Jammu. He said that the response of the people in these programs has been very encouraging which has given us encouragement and strength to work.

Prof. Mohtra said that during the ongoing programmes, Dogra turbans are presented to the locals and they are requested to adopt Dogra dress and Dogra food in their daily lives. They are also asked to inspire others to follow Dogra culture. He said that a society which fails to preserve its culture cannot progress. He further said that the youth can play a vital role in educating people about the rich Dogra culture and should come forward to contribute in its promotion and preservation. On the occasion, Dil Bahadur Singh said that it is a matter of pride to be born as a Dogra and each one of us should pledge to work for the promotion of Dogra culture.
