Lucknow, 7 September. In Uttar Pradesh, programs are being organized in various cities under the ‘Rang De Basanti’ campaign with the aim of giving a platform for creative expression to the youth and giving a positive message against mafia rule and the culture of fear. In this sequence, the campaign team interacted with the intermediate students at Shri Sai College located in Lakhpedabagh, Barabanki.
During this, the students were given information about being prepared for the future challenges along with exam preparation and the utility of innovation and AI based education along with education. In the programme, students enthusiastically participated in activities like quiz competition and talent creation. College Principal Surendra Verma said that platforms like Rang De Basanti will prove useful for the students. Through such events, students get an opportunity to hone their talent and present it with confidence.
The team of Rang De Basanti honored the winning students of the competitions, Naitik, Shagun Yadav, Prakhar, Umaira Kulsung and Aditi Soni, by presenting them trophies. State coordinator of Rang De Basanti said that under the campaign, eligible students are being selected from different districts of the state. Selected talents are also being given financial assistance of up to Rs 15,000 to move ahead in the field of innovation along with educational activities. Under the campaign, programs have been organized in many major educational institutions and districts of the state. The reach of the campaign is being extended to the youth through programs like Kavi Sammelan at Allahabad University, wall painting at Lucknow University and comic book release at SD College, Muzaffarnagar.
The basic spirit of the campaign is brushes instead of guns, dialogue instead of fear. Through this, emphasis is being laid on giving the youth a platform for expression, creativity and dialogue instead of a culture of fear and pressure. Amidst the emphasis being laid by the Yogi government on connecting the youth with education, skills, technology and innovation, campaigns like Rang De Basanti are emerging as initiatives to channelize positive and creative youth energy.
