Youth caught with explosives sentenced to five years in prison


Dumka, June 28 (HS). The court of third district and session judge Rajesh Sinha convicted the illegal explosives dealer and sentenced him to imprisonment and fine. The court convicted Mr. Ansari of Shikaripara who was caught with explosives four years ago and sentenced him to five years imprisonment and a fine of four thousand rupees.

If the accused does not pay the fine, he will have to serve an additional six months of imprisonment. APP Khushbuuddin Ali argued the case on behalf of the government. The court found him guilty on the basis of the statements of a total of nine witnesses in the case. APP Khushbuuddin Ali said that on June 4, 2000, Shikaripara police station in-charge Waqar Hussain had filed an FIR on his own statement. He said in it that on the night of the incident, he was going towards Pokhariya with the officer in connection with the investigation of the case.

In the same sequence, a young man was going with a plastic bag tied to his bike near Nangalbhanga turn. Seeing the police coming, he took his bike off on a dirt road. When the police started chasing him, he abandoned his bike and started running. He was chased and caught. During the search, a large amount of ammonium nitrate was found in the bag. During interrogation, he told his name as Mr. Ansari and village as Kolhabazar.
