A smartphone is a personal device, which stores a lot of personal and sensitive data. It is said that there is only one smartphone whose owner knows exactly, because whatever personal work everyone does on the phone, it all happens on the phone only. Therefore, there is a fear of losing the device if the phone is lost or stolen, and there is also a risk of your personal data being leaked or misused. To protect Android users from such a situation, Google had rolled out a new feature a few days ago, which will immediately lock the phone if it is stolen.
Google has named this new feature Theft Protection, which has been designed keeping data security in mind. This feature has been rolled out for all users. So you also immediately enable this feature by going to the settings menu. With the help of this feature, there is no risk of data leakage or misuse of the phone if your phone is stolen or lost. Let us also tell you how you can use this feature.
Just follow the very simple steps given below
Step 1: First of all, update the software version of your Android phone and go to Settings menu.
Step 2: Now scroll down and an option saying Google Account will appear, tap on it.
step 3: Now you will see two different sections here named Recommended, All Services.
step 4: From there tap on All Services and scroll down. Here you will see theft protection feature.
Step 5: Enable and confirm the toggle option that appears in front of this feature.
After enabling this feature, if someone steals or tries to steal your phone, the device will be locked immediately. Your phone will not be unlocked, nor will anyone be able to access your data without your permission. This new feature uses the phone's sensors, so if there is any sudden movement around the phone, the phone locks.
