Lohardaga, 12 August (HS). A young man died and two others were injured after being struck by lightning in Jonjro village of Kudu police station area on Monday evening at around 6 o'clock. After primary treatment at Kudu CHC, they have been referred to Lohardaga Sadar Hospital for better treatment.
It is said that Mustafa Ansari, a resident of Jonjaro village, along with his wife Gulshan Khatun and son Samiullah Ansari, were preparing the field for paddy plantation in Kusum Chanwara of Jonjaro.
Meanwhile, suddenly there was a lightning strike in the field with a loud thunder and all three of them got caught in it. Due to the shock of the lightning, all three fell in the field. The villagers working in the adjacent field took all three to Kurdu CHC for treatment, where after primary treatment, Samiullah Ansari was declared dead by the doctors. While Gulshan Khatun and Mustafa Ansari who were badly burnt have been referred to Lohardaga Sadar Hospital for better treatment after primary treatment.
Kurdu police said that the body will be sent to Lohardaga Sadar Hospital for post-mortem on Tuesday.
