Jalaun, 18 November (Hindustan Reporter). Tilak Verma, 19 year old son of Santosh Verma, resident of Sirsa Do Garhi of Kotwali area, drives the tractor of Govind Singh, resident of the village. On Monday, Tilak Verma along with his friend Mohit Dohre had gone to plow Ashish Tiwari’s field near Amkheda of Kotwali Jalaun with a rotavator. After plowing half the field, Mohit asked Tilak to teach him how to drive the tractor, on this Tilak gave the tractor to Mohit to drive and himself sat on the bonnet.
Meanwhile, Tilak Verma suddenly slipped from the bonnet and came under the rotavator. When both his legs went under the rotavator, Mohit got scared and ran away from the moving tractor. Due to which Tilak got dragged for about 10 meters and got cut at many places. Seeing the accident, the farmers working in the nearby fields rushed to stop the tractor and took Tilak out. By then Tilak had died. When the deceased’s mother Ketaki and brother Rakesh reached the spot after receiving the information, they were in a bad state.
When the farmers informed the police about the matter, Kotwali in-charge Inspector Virendra Kumar Patel reached the spot with the forensic team and collected evidence. They have sent the Panchnama of the dead body for post-mortem. He said that if any complaint letter is received, action will be taken after investigation.
