Pilgrims opting for this service from Jammu have a choice of two packages. The same-day return will cost Rs. 35,000 per passenger and the next day return will cost Rs. 60,000 per person.

Helicopter service started

On the launch of the new service, the first helicopter carrying pilgrims took off from Jammu airport at around 11 am and landed at Panchi helipad on the new route to the shrine, officials said. Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) Chief Executive Officer Anshul Garg said in Katra after the inauguration that the service is part of continuous efforts to provide better facilities to pilgrims visiting the shrine.

There are two types of packages available

The board's CEO said that a private service has been started with two flights. It costs Rs 35,000 per passenger, which includes battery car service from Panchhi to Bhawan, darshan and rope-way ticket to Bhairav ​​temple. Garg said that the second package offers return service the next day and costs Rs 60,000. The service also includes attending special prayers.

A pilgrim from Madhya Pradesh, a family of six, said that this service is very convenient. And we feel fortunate to be the first to benefit from it. He said that the helicopter took off from Jammu at around 11 am and reached Katra within ten minutes.
