BSNL has recently launched the country’s first fiber broadband based digital TV service iFTV in Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. The government telecom company has now started this service in Punjab also. For this, BSNL has partnered with Skypro. BSNL broadband internet users will be able to watch more than 500 live TV channels for free. The company claims that all these TV channels will be shown to the users in HD quality. Also, users will get free access to more than 20 OTT apps.
SkyPro is an Internet Protocol TV service (IPTV) service provider that has partnerships with several Internet broadband service providers. BSNL Chief Managing Director Robert Ravi has launched this service for Punjab Telecom Circle. First of all, this service is being provided to 8,000 BSNL Bharat Fiber broadband users of Chandigarh. After this, broadband users across Punjab will get the benefit of this service. Not only this, BSNL is soon going to start this service for the viewers across the country.
Watch channels without a set-top box
In this streaming service of Skypro, users will be able to watch almost all the TV channels of Star, Sony, Zee, Colors for free. Apart from this, you will also get access to more than 20 leading OTT platforms like SonyLIV, Zee5, Disney+ Hotstar. The special thing about this service is that users will be able to avail all the live TV channels without any set-top box. Users will have to install SkyPro’s app in their smart TV. Users will be able to access these TV channels as soon as they are connected to BSNL broadband.
BSNL 4G reached the first village in the country
BSNL has started 4G service in Pin Valley village of Himachal Pradesh. The Department of Telecommunications has given this information through its X handle. 4G service is being provided even in those areas of the country where there is no mobile network at present. After the launch of 4G service, now the people of Pin Valley village of Himachal Pradesh will be able to easily connect with the whole world through internet.
