But nutritionists say that certain types of food should not be consumed while drinking coffee. It has been warned that combining them can lead to health problems.
Fried foods: Generally fried foods are not good for health. Eating them while drinking coffee can increase the level of fat in the body. The fried food-coffee combination increases the risk of dyslipidemia. Abnormal levels of fat in the bloodstream are called dyslipidemia. The fried food-coffee combination increases bad cholesterol in the body. It is also known as low-density lipoprotein. It has a serious impact on health. It reduces good cholesterol called high-density lipoprotein which is good for health.
Eating meat with coffee: Eating meat snacks while drinking coffee is not good for health. Meat is high in iron. Eating meat with coffee prevents the stomach from absorbing nutrients like iron effectively. Iron plays an important role in the body. It performs many functions like improving blood circulation, hormone production, immune function, etc.
Cereals: Cereals are eaten as breakfast which provides minerals, vitamins and nutrients. But they should not be consumed while drinking coffee. Cereals contain zinc. Consuming them with coffee reduces the absorption of zinc in the body. As a result, zinc deficiency can cause health problems.
Salty foods: Salty foods high in sodium can increase blood pressure and harm heart health. Coffee contains certain compounds that directly affect blood pressure levels. Citrus fruits: Coffee is naturally acidic (sour). Also, consuming citrus fruits like oranges, beetroot and grapefruit increases the gas level in the stomach. This can cause gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). As a result, discomfort starts in the digestive system. Increased acidity can irritate the stomach lining. Therefore, you should not eat citrus fruits while drinking coffee.
