You should never leave your wife alone at these 3 places, there are deep meanings hidden in the scriptures and practical life.

In Indian culture and family system, marriage is not considered just a union of two persons, but an unbreakable and sacred spiritual bond of seven lives. In the Vedic tradition, the husband has been called ‘Bharta’ i.e. the one who nourishes and ‘Pati’ i.e. the one who protects, while the wife has been given the highest position of Ardhangini and Grihalakshmi. When two people take seven rounds of living together with fire as a witness, then one of the most important promises is that whether there is happiness or sorrow, favorable circumstances or adversity, the husband will stand as a shield for his wife at every step. In today’s modern, changing and fast-paced social environment, even though women are completely self-reliant, strong and confident in every sphere of life, the importance of emotional connection, mutual partnership and security in relationships never diminishes. Our ancient scriptures, ethics and modern family psychologists have made special mention of some such sensitive situations and places where a wise husband should never leave his wife alone. The physical presence of the husband on these occasions and his silent support not only protects the self-esteem of the woman, but also makes the marital relationship unbreakable and deep for life.

The first and most sensitive place in life is the hospital, clinic or the situation when the wife is going through some physical illness or mental pain. A woman is in a physically extremely weak and emotionally extremely sensitive state, especially during pregnancy, delivery, any serious surgery or prolonged illness. At such times, medicines and doctors do their therapeutic work, but the confidence and inner strength of the patient to recover comes only from the closeness of his spouse. When a husband stands holding his wife’s hand in the corridors of the hospital, sits with her worrying about the test reports or understands her pain with his own eyes, the loneliness and fear of the unknown completely goes away from the wife’s mind. On the contrary, if in such serious and delicate times the husband leaves the wife alone in the care of relatives or a nanny under the pretext of work or other responsibilities, then that loneliness creates a deep emotional gap in the woman’s heart. Therefore, in case of health crisis or hospital environment, the presence of husband proves to be a bigger lifesaver than any medicine.

Another place where a husband should never leave his wife alone is an unknown city, a deserted area, a crowded unsafe place or an unfamiliar journey late at night. Although today’s women are fully aware of their rights and self-defense, yet being a responsible spouse, it becomes the first moral duty of a man to keep his family safe from anti-social elements and unexpected dangers of the outside world. If you have gone on a trip to a new city, are in a public place where the atmosphere seems suspicious or uncomfortable, or are in a gathering where the wife is completely unfamiliar with the environment and the people, leaving her there can make her uncomfortable and insecure. In such an environment, the presence of her husband like a shadow gives the woman a deep feeling of mental peace and security. This is not a restriction or mistrust, but a manifestation of love, care and natural responsibility towards each other, due to which any untoward or uncomfortable situation can be avoided in time.

The third and socially most complex situation is where unfair questions are being raised on the wife’s honor, character or self-respect during a family dispute, social gathering or among relatives. Many times, such uncomfortable situations arise in joint families or gatherings of relatives where the wife has to face unnecessary criticism, taunts or mental pressure regarding any issue. If the husband maintains silence on such critical occasions or leaves the wife to struggle alone in those bitter situations, then it is the biggest blow to that relationship. A woman leaves her mother’s home, the courtyard of her childhood and her family and comes to a new family completely on the trust of her husband; Therefore, whenever her self-esteem is affected, it is the husband’s responsibility to stand by her side with fairness, dignity and firmness. This does not mean fighting with the family or creating unnecessary disputes, but giving a clear message by his presence that his wife is not alone and her self-respect is a shared respect of both. When a woman sees that her husband stands shoulder to shoulder with her even in adverse circumstances, her faith in marriage becomes immense.

The mathematics of relationships is not limited to just providing material comforts or providing financial security, rather it depends on how strongly the spouse stands together when there is any fear, doubt or problem in the mind. There come many such crossroads in life where a woman needs her husband’s presence and the trust hidden in his eyes more than words. When a husband takes care of his wife’s physical safety as well as her mental and social condition, the atmosphere at home always remains positive and stress-free. It has been repeatedly underlined in the scriptures that in the house where a woman gets security, respect and support, there resides prosperity, peace and divine grace. Therefore, to run this vehicle of marriage smoothly, it is essential for both the wheels to be alert, dedicated and protective of each other.
