What is the deer case?
In the year 1998, during the shooting of the film 'Hum Saath Saath Hain', Salman Khan had gone hunting in Jodhpur with his co-actor. On the night of 27 and 28 September 1998, a deer was hunted in Ghoda Farm House. The blame was leveled on Salman Khan.
On October 1, 1998, at around 2 am, the sound of gunshot was heard in Kankani village of Jodhpur. When the villagers reached the spot, they saw that two deer had been hunted. After spending five days in jail, Salman was released on bail from Jodhpur jail on 17 October 1998.
On April 5, 2018, Salman Khan was convicted in the deer poaching case and sentenced to 5 years in jail. On April 7, 2018, Salman Khan got bail on a bond of Rs 50,000 and was released the same day.
