Yogini Ekadashi 2026 Date: 10 or 11 July? Remove complete confusion regarding Yogini Ekadashi fast date and Parana time from Panchang.

In Sanatan Dharma, the Ekadashi date of Krishna Paksha of Ashadha month is known as ‘Yogini Ekadashi’. The special importance of this Ekadashi fast has been mentioned in Hindu scriptures and Padma Purana. According to beliefs, a person who worships Lord Vishnu and fasts on this day with a true heart and full devotion, gets the same virtuous result as feeding 88 thousand Brahmins. This fast is considered to destroy all sins and sufferings. However, this year due to change and decay of dates, people are confused as to which day to observe the fast. Let us know the exact date of the fast and time of Parana based on the accurate calculations of the Panchang.

Why is there confusion regarding the date of Yogini Ekadashi fast?

According to the calculations of Drik Panchang, Ashadh Krishna Ekadashi Tithi is going to start on Friday, July 10, 2026 at 08:16 AM. At the same time, this date will end the next day on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 05:22 am.

This time the special situation is that on both 10th and 11th July, the Ekadashi tithi is not completely spread at the time of sunrise. Additionally, Dwadashi Tithi will begin immediately after 05:22 AM on July 11, leading to the Kshaya (reduction) of Ekadashi Tithi on Saturday. According to the rules of the scriptures, when Ekadashi tithi is not present in the sunrise period on both the days, then observing fast on the first day itself is considered as per the scriptures.

Different dates of fasting for Grihastha and Vaishnav sects

Keeping in mind the rules of the calendar and religious beliefs, this year the fast can be observed on both the days, but its categories will be different:
