Lucknow: In the Lok Sabha elections, BJP lost many seats in Uttar Pradesh. When it could not get majority, NDA had to form a government by forming an alliance with its allies. Amidst this situation, for the first time, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that overconfidence sometimes becomes the cause of injury. The Chief Minister gave this statement in a meeting of BJP.
After the Lok Sabha elections, the first state working committee meeting of BJP was held in Lucknow. In which Yogi Adityanath tried to increase the enthusiasm of the workers. Yogi said that there is no need to come on the backfoot. The vote share that BJP got in 2014, 2017 and 2022 is intact in this election as well. In the executive meeting, Yogi also said that BJP will get fewer seats than expected.
Yogi said that we live in overconfidence, it seems that there is victory as well as defeat. Due to which the opposition is increasing. We have ended the wait of 500 years, the dream of double engine government has come true with the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya. BJP workers do not need to come on the backfoot under any circumstances. By-elections are to be held on 10 seats in the region. At the same time, Yogi also claimed that BJP will win all the seats. We have to maintain the momentum of victory.
Yogi Adityanath has given this overconfident statement at a time when BJP has won only two seats in the by-elections held on 13 assembly seats in seven states. Yogi said that the world powers know that if the society is scattered then it will easily become a victim, if there is unity then no power can break it. BJP workers need to keep an eye on what is happening on social media. If the workers had spread the information about BJP's schemes etc. on social media and reached the voters then the election results could have been different.
