Considering the seriousness of the matter, the government constituted a three-member high level investigation committee under the chairmanship of Additional Commissioner (Establishment) from the headquarters. After investigation, Marketing Inspector Sudhir Kumar, Supply Inspector Vivek Srivastava and District Food Marketing Officer Zia Ahmed Karim have been suspended with immediate effect. Departmental action has also been initiated against them. Apart from this, District Supply Officer Sunil Singh has also been suspended and a departmental inquiry has been initiated against him.
