Prayagraj, 27 July (HS). The Yogi government will provide world class health services to the devotees coming to Maha Kumbh-2025. For this, an amount of about Rs 125 crore is being spent on 18 health related projects. With this, the fair area, hospitals in Prayagraj city and CHC-PHCs on the way to the fair area are being upgraded. Along with this, they are being equipped with hi-tech technology. On the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, 43 temporary hospitals will be built in the fair area to provide better health services to the devotees, while 305 beds will be reserved in four hospitals of the city. At the same time, doctors and paramedical staff will be deployed 24 hours for emergency services.
– 18 projects for world class health services
Mahakumbh Mela Officer Vijay Kiran Anand said that Chief Minister Yogi is constantly holding meetings and giving necessary guidelines to organize Mahakumbh in a divine, grand and safe manner. Under this, he has given instructions to provide world class health services to the devotees coming to Mahakumbh. In such a situation, as per the wishes of CM Yogi, 18 projects related to health services are being run in Prayagraj, which will be implemented at a cost of about 125 crores. The Mela Officer said that till now a budget of 41.73 lakhs has been released by the government for health related works.
Additional Director (Health) Dr. Rakesh Sharma said that first of all the government had released Rs 28 crore for the upgradation of four hospitals of the city, Moti Lal Nehru Hospital (Colvin), Tej Bahadur Sapru (Bailey) Hospital, Government Tuberculosis Hospital Telierganj and District Women's Hospital (Dufferin) Hospital, the work of which is going on. 305 beds have been reserved for devotees in these hospitals. At the same time, 50 beds have been reserved for women devotees in Dufferin Hospital. Apart from this, Rs 13.73 lakh has been allocated for ambulance, bio-medical waste management, hearse, disaster management and office. 125 road ambulances, 20 river ambulances and 1 air ambulance will be deployed from this amount.
– 43 temporary hospitals with 380 beds will be set up in the fair area
Joint Director Health Dr Vivek Kumar Mishra said that keeping in view the convenience of the devotees, the Maha Kumbh Mela area has been divided into 25 sectors. Keeping this in mind, 43 temporary hospitals of 380 beds are being built in the fair area. These include a temporary central hospital of 100 beds, two temporary sub-central hospitals of 25 beds each, two temporary infectious disease hospitals of 20 beds each and one temporary hospital of 20 beds each in 8 sectors. These hospitals will cover about three sectors of the fair area. Apart from this, 10 first aid posts of one bed each and 20 out health posts are being set up. These out health posts will be set up at parking lots, stalls and other places. An amount of Rs 14.25 lakh is being spent for this. Also, Rs 10 crore will be spent to curb vector-borne diseases in the fair area. At the same time, Rs 12.73 lakh is being spent on food and drink for the patients admitted in these hospitals, surgical items, local purchase of medicines and other items. Apart from this, a total of Rs 21.24 lakh is being spent on the upgradation of 12 CHCs, 3 PHCs, one post-mortem house and drug warehouse on the way to the fair area.
-407 doctors will be deployed in the fair area, gynecologists will be available 24 hours
Kumbh Mela official told that 407 doctors are being deployed in the fair area to provide 24 hour health services to the devotees. Along with this, 182 nursing staff, 150 ward boys, 354 pharmacists and 60 lab technicians will be deployed. 48 women doctors will provide their services in three shifts in the hospital of the fair area. A labor room is being established in the Central Hospital. Apart from this, gynaecologists will also be deployed 24 hours in the fair area. Along with this, there will be a team of 40 specialist doctors. Apart from this, 24 hour emergency services will also be available in CHC and PHC.
