Lucknow, 01 October (Hindus). Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has started the process of taking forward the construction process of four lane outer ring road in Lucknow. The road of 14.28 km area from Raitha Underpass in Lucknow to PM Mitra Park (Textile Park) will be four-lane. At the same time, the rejuvenation of Raitha underpass located on Outer Ring Road from IIM will also be completed under this project.
In this process, 8.4 km of road will be widened and strengthened to two lanes. Both these processes related to four lane and double lane will be completed at a cost of Rs 139.56 crore. Along with releasing funds to complete this process, a detailed action plan has been prepared by the Yogi government. These works will be completed by the Public Works Department under the supervision of Chief Engineer (Development) and Head of the Department.
Mega Textile Park will provide employment to one lakh people
Four-laning of 14.28 km stretch of road from Raitha Underpass to PM Mitra Park in Lucknow and rejuvenation of Raitha Underpass located from IIM to Outer Ring Road will significantly improve connectivity. This will pave the way for providing connectivity on a large scale to PM Mitra Park, which is being developed as a Mega Textile Park. It is noteworthy that under the project, PM Mitra Park being developed in Attari village of Malihabad is being developed through PPP partnership. With the opening of this mega textile park, one lakh people will get employment.
Connectivity is being increased as per future needs
A state government spokesperson said on Tuesday that the entire area is being developed according to future needs including connectivity. Attari village is about 20 kilometers away from NH-20 and SH-20. Both of these are four-lane roads connecting Lucknow to Sitapur and Hardoi. Apart from this, there is also a 20 kilometer long outer ring road with six lanes for connectivity. Rail connectivity to the park is also good. Malihabad railway station is just 16 kilometers away from the location marked for the park, while Lucknow railway station is at a distance of 40 kilometers. Moreover, the park is located at a distance of 45 kilometers from Lucknow International Airport. Additionally, the dedicated freight corridor at Kanpur node is located at a distance of 95 kilometers and the inland container depot at Kanpur is located at a distance of 111 kilometers.
