News India Live, Digital Desk: The cabinet meeting held at Lok Bhavan on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has written a new story for the development of the state. The government has tried to cater to every section of the society by approving all 22 proposals related to public interest and infrastructure. The biggest and shocking decision of this meeting was in favor of Shikshamitras and instructors, whose honorarium has been increased almost double. Along with this, far reaching decisions have been taken like starting the next phase of ‘Digital Revolution’ for the youth and giving land ownership rights to the displaced people.

Historic victory of Shikshamitras and instructors: Huge jump in salaries

This morning has brought a new hope for lakhs of Shikshamitras and instructors of Uttar Pradesh. Fulfilling the wishes of these employees who have been struggling on the streets for a long time, the Cabinet has approved a huge increase in their honorarium. The honorarium of Shikshamitras will now directly increase from Rs 10,000 to Rs 18,000 per month. Similarly, the honorarium of instructors has also been increased from Rs 9,000 to Rs 17,000. The increased honorarium will be applicable from April 1, 2026, the payment of which will be added to the May salary. This decision has brought a wave of happiness among about 2 lakh families of the state.

25 lakh students will have tablets in their hands: ‘Swami Vivekananda Yojana’ expanded

Yogi government has given the green signal to its biggest goal till date to make the youth technically competent. Under ‘Swami Vivekananda Youth Empowerment Scheme’, free tablets will be distributed to 25 lakh students for the year 2026-27. The Cabinet has also finalized the procurement process and bid conditions for this. The government believes that with this step the youth of Uttar Pradesh will be able to register their strong presence on the global digital map.

Displaced people got ownership rights: 70 years of wait is over

Taking a very sensitive and humanitarian decision, the Cabinet has decided to give ‘Bhumidhar’ (ownership) rights to the displaced people who came during the India-Pakistan partition and the families eligible under CAA. The ordinance to amend Section 80 of ‘Uttar Pradesh Revenue Code 2006’ has been approved. With this, thousands of families living in Rampur, Pilibhit, Kheri and Bijnor will get legal rights on their land. Apart from this, approval has also been given to give lease for the rehabilitation of 99 Bengali families living in Kanpur Dehat at a lease rent of only Re 1.

Bus stands of the state will be like airports: gift to 52 districts

The transport structure of UP is now going to change completely. The Cabinet has approved the construction of 49 new bus stands on PPP model. These bus stands will be equipped with modern facilities and passengers will get airport like facilities here. A total of 52 districts will be covered by this scheme. Apart from this, the proposal to transfer land for construction of new bus depots in Hathras, Bulandshahr and Balrampur has also been approved.

Bridge and Road Connectivity: Road to Bihar will be easy

Strengthening the infrastructure, it has been decided to construct new bridges on river Ganga near Chyavan Rishi Ashram in Kannauj and on Bhainsha Ghat of Narayani river in Kushinagar. These projects costing Rs 705 crore will reduce the distance between Bihar and Maharajganj by 40 to 50 kilometers. Meanwhile, Rs 266 crore has been sanctioned for the widening of Lipulek-Bhind road in Shahjahanpur.

Forestry University will open in Gorakhpur and Ambedkar memorials will be rejuvenated.

Giving a big gift to the Chief Minister’s home district Gorakhpur, the government has approved the establishment of ‘Forestry and Horticulture University’. This institute, to be built at a cost of Rs 491 crore, will conduct research on climate change and fruit-vegetable science. Along with this, under ‘Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Murti Vikas Yojana’, 4030 monuments of all 403 assemblies of the state will be beautified. Each memorial will cost Rs 10 lakh, which includes canopies over the statues and construction of boundary walls.
