Yogi government distributed 5.94 lakh lunch packets and more than 1.03 lakh flood relief kits with the flood affected people.

Lucknow, 06 September. Amidst the challenge of floods in Uttar Pradesh, the relief and rescue operations of the Yogi government are continuing on a war footing. Due to the promptness of the government, food, safe shelter, health facilities and necessary relief materials are being provided to the affected people. According to the Uttar Pradesh Relief Commissioner’s office, so far 19,454 people have been evacuated to safe places, while more than 5.94 lakh lunch packets and more than 1.03 lakh flood relief kits have been distributed. So far 2,075 boats and motorboats have been used in the rescue operation. Due to these efforts, till now zero loss of life and animals has been recorded in the state.

So far 37 districts have been affected in the state. At present the effect of flood continues in 25 districts. Relief and rescue work is being conducted by the administration by continuously monitoring the sensitive areas. The priority of Yogi government is the safety of the flood affected people. Under this, so far 19,454 people have been evacuated to safe places. On Sunday alone, 8,264 people were evacuated to safe places.

Continuous rescue operation continues with 2,075 boats and motorboats.
Boats and motorboats have been deployed extensively to ensure access of relief teams to the flood affected areas. So far 2,075 boats and motorboats have been used. This is not only helping in evacuating the people trapped in the affected areas but also providing relief material. The government has launched a massive food distribution campaign to ensure that no family faces food problems during floods. More than 5.94 lakh lunch packets and more than 1.03 lakh flood relief kits have been distributed so far. On Sunday also, 63,955 lunch packets and 11,249 food grains packets were distributed. Due to this, flood affected families are getting immediate food assistance.

Medical teams and essential medicines for health protection
In view of the possibility of infection and water-borne diseases after the flood, the health department has also been kept fully active. So far, 1,072 medical teams have been formed in the state. More than 6.47 lakh chlorine tablets and more than 2.49 lakh ORS packets have been distributed in the affected areas for cleanliness and health protection.

1,315 flood shelters established, thousands of people provided safe shelter
So far, 1,315 flood shelters have been established in the state to provide safe shelter to the affected people. Where 6,698 people are living in shelters. It is the effort of the Yogi government to provide food and health facilities along with a safe environment to the displaced families. The important achievement of the relief and rescue operation is that till now no human loss or animal loss has been recorded due to floods. 1,272 houses have been damaged by the floods, of which assistance has been distributed to the affected families in 1,002 cases.
