Ayodhya, 30 October (Hindus). Union Culture and Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat on Wednesday participated in the coronation program organized at Ramkatha Park on the historic occasion of Deepotsav 2024 organized in Ayodhya. During his address at the event organized at Ramkatha Park, he praised the contribution of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in the reconstruction of Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya and the development of Uttar Pradesh.

Shekhawat said that today the eighth festival of lights is being organized here, which is a historic moment in itself. A new definition of Ayodhya is being created under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. 500 years ago, when Babar's general Mir Baqi demolished the Ram temple, the sun on India's fortunes had set. Shekhawat said that India's 2000 years of written history has been famous all over the world due to its culture, civilization, opulence, and knowledge tradition. But in later times, due to various invasions, efforts were made to break this eternal flow, in which everyone from Genghis Khan to the Mughals, Portuguese, Dutch, French and finally the British attacked and tried to destroy the cultural heritage of India.

He said that despite these difficulties, the saint tradition always kept Indian culture and Sanatan Dharma intact. He saluted all the saints including Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for this continuous effort and said that many sacrificed their lives to protect this temple. When the Shri Ram temple was demolished in 1528, the fate of India also seemed to be bleak. But now we are returning to that glory again.

Shekhawat also said that in the last ten years, there has been a major change in India's global image under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that today the world is looking at India from a new perspective, and the reason for this is the restoration of Indian knowledge tradition, Ayurveda, science, philosophy, and Sanatan tradition. The Chief Minister said that we all are fortunate that we are taking steps towards making India a developed nation under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi. Today's Deepotsav is the day of our resolve that we will establish the ideals of Lord Shri Ram in the society and move towards making India a world leader.

Underlining the importance of 28 lakh lamps being lit in the historic event of this Festival of Lights, the Union Minister said that this light will awaken a new consciousness, which will definitely take India in a new direction. He said that Yogi ji has set new records in the progress of Uttar Pradesh and has also highlighted the great culture of India on the world stage. Under his leadership, this unique event of Deepotsav will emerge as an inspiration for India.

Shekhawat finally congratulated Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for organizing this unique event and the effort to revive the cultural heritage of Uttar Pradesh. He said that this festival of lights is a cultural message not only for India but for the entire world, which glorifies Indian civilization and ideals.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak, Cabinet Minister Surya Pratap Shahi, Swatantra Dev Singh, Jaiveer Singh, Satish Chandra Sharma, MLA Ved Prakash Gupta, District Panchayat President Roli Singh, Mayor Mahant Girishpati Tripathi, MLC Hariom Pandey and others were present. Saints and officials were present.
