Raipur, 10 August (HS). Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai has written a letter to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath after receiving a basket of Kakori mangoes as a gift and said- I am emotional and overwhelmed after receiving this gift. Whenever Lord Shri Ram would have visited his maternal grandparents' house, baskets of juicy mangoes must have come with him, that is why mangoes of Chhattisgarh also have such a taste. During the exile, the mangoes here must have reminded our Ramlala of the mangoes there.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, in a letter sent to Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Sai along with Kakori mangoes, has mentioned in detail the abundant production of mangoes in Uttar Pradesh and its popular varieties. He has said that Kakori, which witnessed the freedom struggle, is also a major centre of mango production. The Uttar Pradesh government has started marketing mangoes under the name of Kakori brand.

Chief Minister Shri Sai received juicy and sweet mangoes of Kakori brand as a gift from the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. In response, Chief Minister Shri Sai has written a letter to Yogi Adityanath saying- Kakori mangoes sent by you with a sweet message are really very tasty. Uttar Pradesh is known for its mangoes as well as great freedom fighters. The wonderful initiative you have taken by merging these two identities is inspiring. This is the best way to honor the freedom fighters, through this we will be able to include the memories of our great fighters and that great struggle in our most cherished moments.

Mr Sai has written in the letter- Historically, the sentiments of Uttar Pradesh and Chhattisgarh have always been the same. The residents of both the regions, known as North Kosal and South Kosal, are the subjects of King Ram. Lord Shri Ram was born in Ayodhya and his mother Kaushalya was born in Chhattisgarh.
