News India Live, Digital Desk: Impact of Cyclone Montha: The effect of Cyclonic Storm ‘Montha’ formed in the Bay of Bengal is now visible in Jharkhand also. The weather pattern in the state has suddenly changed and the Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rain in most parts of the state for the next 48 hours. In view of the impact of this storm, ‘Yellow Alert’ has been issued for 19 districts of the state including the capital Ranchi.
When and where will it be affected?
According to the Meteorological Center based in Ranchi, the maximum impact of ‘Montha’ cyclone will be seen on 28 and 29 October. During this period, the sky will be cloudy in the central and south-eastern parts of the state and there will be light to moderate rain at many places. There is also a possibility of heavy rain along with thunder at some places.

Strong winds can increase problems
The weather department has warned not only of rain but also of strong winds. Due to the impact of the cyclone, in these two days many parts of the state 30 to 40 kilometers per hour Winds can blow at a speed of up to 50 kilometers per hour.
Meteorological Department’s advice:
- People should be careful and alert in ‘Yellow Alert’ districts.
