Gorakhpur, 18 August (HS). A written examination was held on Sunday for the appointment of 63 Assistant Professors (contractual) for the smooth running of various self-financed courses at Deendayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University. The total 63 advertised posts include teaching posts in Agricultural Science, Law, Commerce, Engineering, Business Administration and Pharmacy.
In the morning shift, exams were conducted for Engineering, Pharmacy and Business Management. Out of the total 260 registered candidates, 201 appeared for the exam and 59 were absent. In the second shift, exams were conducted for Agriculture Science, Law and Commerce, in which 102 candidates were registered and 75 appeared for the exam.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Poonam Tandon today inspected the examination being held at the examination centre located at Diksha Bhawan. Emphasising on the quality of all self-financed courses, the Vice Chancellor said that the appointment of new talented teachers will lead to better functioning of the courses.
He said that teaching in pharmacy course will start in the current academic session itself. The examination was conducted under the leadership of RAC Cell Coordinator Professor Rajarshi Gaur. Soon the result of the written examination will be declared and the date of interview will be announced.
