Wrestling competition started at Ramlila ground in Raigarh | News India

Raigarh, September 11 (HS). All India and state level wrestling competition was inaugurated today on Wednesday at Ramlila Maidan.

CEO District Panchayat Jitender Yadav and other guests present inaugurated the program by garlanding and lighting lamps on the statues of Shri Hanuman and Raja Chakradhar Singh, symbols of strength and power. The mat was worshipped during the program. CEO Jitendra Yadav, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Sunil Chandravanshi shook hands with the players and encouraged them after getting a brief introduction from them and wished them all the best.

In the first phase of the competition, state level players displayed their talent. The first competition was held between Bhavesh Kurre of Dhamtari and Aman of Raigarh in which Bhavesh won.

It is noteworthy that more than 250 players are participating in this two-day All India and State level wrestling competition.

On this occasion, Deputy Collector and In-charge Assistant Commissioner Tribal Development Department Mahesh Sharma, Additional CEO of Zila Panchayat Mahesh Patel, Dinesh Jaiswal from Wrestling Association, Shyam Singh Soni, Rajanand Yadav, Raman Yadav, Ms. Bhavika Pandey, national and international level referees, players, spectators, officers-employees and dignitaries were present.
