Exactly 17 days ago on Monday, the wreckage of a Cambodian military helicopter was found on a mountain top. There were two pilots on board this helicopter. A search aircraft has spotted the wreckage of a Chinese-made Z-7 helicopter in the densely forested Cardamom Mountains of southwestern Pursat province. The helicopter was on a training flight on July 12. After which an intensive search operation was launched after it lost contact. However, there was no news.

Contact was lost after the helicopter took off

Due to bad weather, the helicopter lost contact with the Air Force headquarters shortly after takeoff. An intensive search for the missing helicopter had been launched since the previous day. Army personnel sent to the accident site found the body of a pilot inside the damaged helicopter.

According to the information received, a government spokesperson said that the body of the second pilot was found about 200 meters away. The pictures were widely released on social media on Monday. In one picture, the wreckage of the helicopter is seen partially covered with leaves.
