Porbandar Helicopter Crash: 3 soldiers are missing after a Coast Guard helicopter crashed in the sea of Porbandar. Out of which the bodies of two soldiers have been recovered after a massive search. While the search for one soldier is still on.
According to details received by Porbandar Coastguard, a helicopter carrying 3 jawans and a crew member crashed near Mangrol in Junagadh around 11 pm last night. One crew member was rescued while a search was launched for the other 3 missing persons.
At the end of a massive search, the bodies of two soldiers have been found. They have been identified as Bipin Babu (Commander) and Karpradhan Ali (Commander). The bodies of both the soldiers were brought to Porbanghar Jetty. From where they have been sent to Jamnagar Army Hospital via a special plane. After postmortem, the body of one soldier will be sent to Kerala and the body of another soldier will be sent to Haryana.
Apart from this, a missing commander named Rana is also being searched for. While a crew member named Gautam was rescued, he was also brought to Porbandar Ghat. So far only half of the crashed helicopter has been recovered and some parts are still missing, which are also being searched by three different teams.
