Dhanteras 2024: The festival of lights begins with the Trayodashi of Kartik Krishna Paksha, which we know as Dhanteras or Dhan Trayodashi. On this day, during the churning of the ocean, Lord Dhanvantari appeared with a pot of nectar and the gods considered him a god of health.

Also, since he has the Amrit Kalash in his hands, Kuber is also worshiped along with Dhanvantari on this day to attain wealth, prosperity, happiness, prosperity, fame and glory. Therefore, on this day, to get wealth and money along with a healthy body, worship Dhanvantari and Kuber with full rituals and get the blessings of both.

Dhanteras is on 29 October 2024 (Dhanteras 2024 Date).

This time Trayodashi Tithi i.e. Dhanteras will start on Tuesday 29 October 2024 at 10:31 AM, and Trayodashi Tithi will end on Wednesday 30 October 2024 at 1:15 PM. According to Uday Tithi, the festival of Dhanteras will be celebrated on 29 October.

Auspicious time of Kuber Puja – The auspicious time for Kuber Puja on Dhanteras will be from 6:31 pm to 8:13 pm on 29th October.

Dhanteras worship method

  • If you perform puja in this auspicious time, your bank balance will be more than expected and the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi and Treasurer Kuber will always be on you.
  • Perform purification before starting the puja.
  • For this, mix a little rock salt in water and mop the place where you are going to worship.
  • Then sprinkle Ganga water mixed with rose or sandalwood on it so that the place becomes completely pure and fragrant.
  • After this, first place the picture or idol of Shri Ganesh, Mahalakshmi and Kuber.
  • Now purify. Take water in your right hand and with the right hand touch your right ear, then left ear, then right eye and left eye, and purify yourself with the mantra 'Om Apadhi Pavitro Sarvatha Gatopiva, Ye Pathet Pundarikanksha Sa Bahutbhyantar Shuchi' .
  • – Then light 11 or 21 lamps in a plate. Now chant the Deep Mantra: Shubham Karoti Kalyanam Arogyam Sukh Sapand, Shatru Buddhivinashakam Deep Jyoti Namaste.
  • Now place two of these lamps in a heap of wheat on either side of the main entrance of the office. Keep the remaining lamp at some other place in the office.
  • Now first sprinkle water on the picture or idol of Shri Ganesh, then Maa Lakshmi and then Kuber. Offer them flowers.
  • First of all, meditate on Lord Ganesha and chant the mantra Om Ganga Ganapataye Namah 11 times.
  • Now take rice and flowers in your hand and pray to Lord Dhanvantari to provide health to the entire family and office employees. Offer rice and flowers to Dhanvantari while chanting the mantra Om Dham Dhanvantarye Namah.
  • After this, meditate on Goddess Lakshmi and chant Om Shri Hari Kamle Kamlalaye Prasid Prasid Om Shri Hari Mahalakshmyai Namah.
