Worry! 80 years old record of extreme heat in Delhi broken, heat wave days doubled

HEAT WAVE NEWS : This time, the scorching heat and heatwave has made everyone miserable in entire North India including New Delhi and NCR. This time the heat has broken not only the day's record but also the night's record. This time Delhi has experienced the most scorching heat in the last 80 years.

The temperature in Delhi has broken the record of the last 80 years. Many people have lost their lives due to heat wave in the states of North India. The heat has hit North India very hard. The series of deaths due to heat wave continues throughout the country.

Heatwaves have emerged as a new disaster due to global warming. This year the longest heatwave occurred and more than 25 thousand cases of heat-related diseases were reported.

According to the European climate agency Copernicus, May was the hottest month on record since 2024. Northwest India and parts of the central region are in the grip of severe heat. This year the country is facing the longest and most severe heat. Thus the year 2024 is going to be the year with the most intense and most hot days in the last 15 years.

According to the data of the India Meteorological Department, more than 15 days of heat waves have been recorded between March 1 and June 9. Usually such days last for 6 to 8 days. The Meteorological Department has said that the hottest days in the last 15 years will occur in 2024.

The states with the highest number of heatwave days are Odisha with 27, Rajasthan with 23, West Bengal with 21, Haryana with 20, Chandigarh with 20, Delhi with 20 and West Uttar Pradesh with 20 days.
