Bhopal, 13 November (HS). On Wednesday, the Indian team performed brilliantly and won the bronze medal in the skeet event of the World University Shooting Championship 2024 held from 9 to 13 November in the country’s capital Delhi. The gold medal of the competition went to the Italian team and the silver medal to the Slovakian team.
The three-member Indian team that won the bronze medal included Madhya Pradesh State Shooting (Shotgun) Academy players Mansi Raghuvanshi and Vanshika Tiwari. The third player Yashaswani Rathore is from Rajasthan. Madhya Pradesh Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Vishwas Kailash Sarang has congratulated the Indian team which won the bronze medal in the championship.
A total of four players from Madhya Pradesh State Shooting Academy participated in the World University Games 2024. All the players have earned medals. This is the fourth medal for the players of Madhya Pradesh State Shooting Academy in the World Shooting Championship. Expressing happiness over earning 4 medals each in the competition, Sports Minister Sarang said that this result is a reward for the encouragement given by the department to the players and their hard work. He expressed hope that our players will continue to make the state and country proud at the world level.
Four medals were won by players of Madhya Pradesh State Shooting Academy in the World University Games held from November 9 to 13 in Delhi. Aishwarya Pratap Singh won silver medal in the individual event of 50m 3 position rifle event and gold medal in the team event, Neeru Dhanda won the silver medal in the women’s skeet individual event and Mansi and Vanshika won the bronze medal in the women’s skeet team event. Sports Academy players won a total of four medals in the competition including one gold, two silver and one bronze medal.
