Workshop focused on economic empowerment through e-commerce to empower rural women entrepreneurs

Bikaner, 4 November (Hindustan Reporter). India's homegrown e-commerce marketplace Flipkart organized an orientation workshop in collaboration with National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) with an aim to empower rural women entrepreneurs through e-commerce. Minister of State for Power Krishna Pal Gurjar, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer of Flipkart Group Rajneesh Kumar and other dignitaries were present in this workshop focused on economic empowerment through e-commerce.

Focusing on digital empowerment, this workshop provided over 70 participants with valuable insights on product listing, efficient logistics and strategic business development. These participants included women entrepreneurs, micro enterprises and self-help groups (SHGs). Through interactive sessions, participants got an opportunity to understand important things related to e-commerce to increase their reach and business.

Regarding the workshop, Rajneesh Kumar, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, Flipkart Group, said, 'This partnership with the National Rural Livelihood Mission reflects Flipkart's commitment to expand digital inclusion across India. Our objective is to create massive economic opportunities for rural women of Haryana and foster a new generation of entrepreneurs who can leverage technology to enhance their livelihoods. The Samarth program aims to provide opportunities to underprivileged communities and empower them to build sustainable livelihoods by leveraging e-commerce. By providing guidance and support to these communities, Flipkart is working towards connecting rural entrepreneurs to the broader growth story of India.
