Workers took out a procession and demonstrated in support of the industrial strike

Bhagalpur, 16 February (HS). On the call of the Central Trade Unions and the United Kisan Morcha, a demonstration was held on Friday in support of the nationwide industrial strike and Gramin Bharat Bandh against the false guarantees of the Modi government and its 10-year attack on the interests of workers and farmers. This procession was taken out jointly by AICCTU, AITUC, CITU, SEWA, INTUC etc. on the streets of Bhagalpur district headquarters.

The workers started the procession from the local station premises, raising slogans in support of their demands against the workers-farmers and the anti-national Modi government and carrying flags, banners and demand cards. The procession passed through Vakalatkhana via Main Bazaar, Khalifabagh Chowk, Ghantaghar Chowk, Badi Post Office and Kachari Chowk and turned into a meeting after reaching the Collectorate.

The procession was led by AICCTU state cum district secretary Mukesh Mukt, CITU district secretary Dashrath Prasad, AITUC district vice president Baleshwar Gupta, Sewane.

District President Ujra Bano, INTUC District President Ravi Kumar, AIKS District Secretary Upendra Yadav, Chanchal Pandit of AIKM and Gopal Rai of BRKS did it jointly.
