Workers buried in a coal mine in China for five days died without help

All seven miners trapped underground since Monday in a coal mine in northern China's Shanxi province have died. The workers trapped in the mine for 5 days died due to not getting timely help from the Chinese administration. Now the bodies of all these have been found in the mine. Local officials confirmed this on Saturday. Coal mine owner Gao Naichun said that at midnight on Monday, while miners were repairing a coal feeder, a pile of coal collapsed into the warehouse, burying seven people.

According to the county administration, the last body was recovered during a rescue operation at the Coal Industrial Corporation coal mine on Friday. After this the rescue operation was completed. Gao said the coal mine collapse caused water pipes to break, causing flooding and hampering rescue operations.

Death of workers is common in China's coal mines.

According to the information received, further investigation is being done on this matter. There is huge demand for energy in China throughout the year. Accidents in coal mines are common and a large number of miners are injured, as they often work in poor safety conditions. China makes laborers work for a few rupees and safety standards are not met.
