Work on matters brought in Janta Darbar on priority basis: DC

Hazaribagh, 26 June (HS). A review meeting of the Revenue Department was held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Nancy Sahay. Matters related to mutation, e-court, land transfer for government projects, compensation were reviewed in the revenue meeting.

During the review, the Deputy Commissioner directed to dispose of the pending cases of mutation for more than 30 days on time. The Zonal Officers of the blocks with a high pending mutation cases were strictly instructed to work with seriousness.

The DC said that if any application is rejected in mutation related matters, then one should first be self-satisfied on those applications. The CO should keep control over the employees of the zonal offices and should not let the image of the office get tarnished. Clarifications have been sought from many COs on mutation matters. He directed to seriously execute the mutation related matters on a regular basis. He reviewed the report related to the government role, state level inter-departmental free transfer. He took stock of the status of land measurement and directed to execute the works like land demarcation etc.

The Deputy Commissioner said in strong words that cases of encroachment on government land are coming to light and asked to strictly curb such cases. The Deputy Commissioner said that factories are running at many places, the Zonal Officer should go to the field and investigate. The Zonal Officers were asked to investigate the land related cases themselves and send a clear report before sending them to the DC Court. He instructed to work seriously on the cases that come to the Janta Darbar.
