Sambhal Temple: In Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, the work of demolishing the illegal portion of the house built next to the temple which was opened after 46 years has started. But the administrative machinery has not taken up this work. Building owner Matin Ahmed himself is calling the workers and demolishing it.

Workers were demolishing illegal part of the building

Workers are demolishing the illegal part of the building next to the temple. The grill is being broken with a hammer. Tarpaulin has also been installed to ensure that there is no damage to the temple. This temple was recently discovered during an anti-encroachment operation.

Talking to a news channel on this matter, Matin Ahmed said that we have all the documents, we are doing all the work as per our wish and a portion of 2 to 2.5 feet will be demolished. The part adjacent to the temple is legal and the upper pillar will be demolished. More than half of the first floor balcony will collapse. The window will not break. The circumambulation part is not illegal.

DM has written a letter to ASI

The temple was discovered on December 14 during an anti-encroachment operation by the district police and administration. The local administration has continued the anti-encroachment campaign in Sambhal. Meanwhile, District Officer Dr. Rajendra Pensia has written a letter to the Archaeological Survey of India demanding a scientific investigation.

According to the information received so far, ASI has not given any reply to this letter. On the other hand, the measurement of Matin Ahmed’s house was done on Monday evening itself. Additional SP Shirish Chand said, if anything illegal is found it will be removed.

Shirish Chand said that 3 to 3.25 feet portion of the house next to the temple is illegal and he himself is removing it. As a precautionary measure, arrangements have been made to protect the devotees coming out of the temple from harm. Care is being taken to ensure that no one gets hit with a brick. Measurements will be settled as per this building rule. This building will also be inspected by the concerned department.
