Hamirpur, 23 May (HS). This time women have shown great strength in voting in Hamirpur-Mahoba-Tindwari parliamentary seat. Half of the population reached the booths and voted with great enthusiasm amid the scorching heat and heat. In many assembly constituencies of parliamentary seats, women have overtaken men in voting. Record breaking voting took place at the booths set up in many villages. However, this time the turnout was about one and a half percent less than in the last Lok Sabha elections.
There are 18.39 lakh 761 voters in Hamirpur-Mahoba-Tindwari Parliamentary constituency, of which 9.94 lakh 182 are male voters and 8.45 lakh 540 are female voters. Apart from this there are 39 other voters. This time in the Lok Sabha elections 11.14 lakh 874 votes were cast which is 60.6 percent of the total votes. 61.07 percent voting took place in Hamirpur Sadar Assembly constituency of the parliamentary seat while the highest 63.23 percent voting took place in Rath Assembly constituency, 60.29 percent in Mahoba Assembly constituency, 59.77 percent in Charkhari Assembly constituency and the lowest 57.72 percent voting took place in Tindwari Assembly constituency.
If we look at assembly wise voting, 260006 votes were cast in Hamirpur Sadar assembly constituency, 259102 votes were cast in Rath, 196499 in Mahoba, 212493 in Charkhari and 188774 votes were cast in Tindwari assembly constituency. During voting, the temperature in the parliamentary constituency had crossed 44 degrees Celsius. Despite this, tremendous enthusiasm was seen among the women regarding voting. Women pressed the EVM button loudly at the booths, leaving behind the men. In two assembly constituencies, male voters have proved to be lagging behind in voting. After women taking active part in voting, the candidates of major parties in the parliamentary constituency are busy in calculating the assembly wise votes.
In Hamirpur assembly constituency, maximum 61.25 percent women pressed the EVM button
This time record breaking voting has taken place in Sadar Assembly constituency Hamirpur of Hamirpur-Mahoba-Tindwari Parliamentary seat. Out of 425729 voters in this assembly constituency, 231001 are male and 194721 are female voters. While there are seven other voters. In the voting of the eighteenth Lok Sabha elections, women of Sadar Hamirpur Assembly constituency have outshone men. 1.19 lakh 272 (61.25%) women reached the booths and pressed the EVM button without caring about the scorching sun and heat. In comparison to women, 1.40 lakh 730 men voted. Which is 60.92%.
Compared to half the population, 60.92 percent men reached the polling booths and voted.
In Rath Assembly Constituency included in the Parliamentary seat 62.19% women voted whereas in Mahoba Assembly Constituency 58.86%, in Charkhari Assembly Constituency 58.34% and in Tindwari Assembly Constituency the highest 60.50% women reached the booths and pressed the EVM button. In this Assembly Constituency 55.42% men voted, who lagged behind women. In the voting of the 18th Lok Sabha elections, half the population in Hamirpur and Tindwari Assembly Constituencies defeated the male voters and locked the fate of the candidates in the EVM.
