Gopeshwar, July 22 (HS). On Monday, Charan Paduka Gothal Committee planted saplings in Sirauli and Gwad villages of Mandal Dhaati along with women. On this occasion, women also gave the message of environmental protection by singing Garhwali songs.
Sarvesh Kumar Dubey, Divisional Forest Officer of Badrinath Forest Division, the chief guest of the plantation program, said that it is necessary to plant trees to keep the environment around us clean and to save natural water sources from drying up. He said that man is exploiting forests for his own comfort but he is unable to understand its ill effects. Now when diseases are occurring due to various natural disasters and polluted environment, he has started remembering nature, so it is necessary that we maintain nature along with our comforts. On this occasion, plantation was also done at Jakh Raja Temple of Gwad village.
