These Rakhis are being sold in the market for ten rupees to two hundred rupees. This time Chinese Rakhis are not visible anywhere in Hamirpur district. Apart from the markets, Swadeshi Rakhis are also being sold in the carts on the sides of the bus stand and main roads, which a large number of people are buying readily. Vijay Chaurasia, Shubham Gupta, Gappu, Shivnarayan Gupta and many other shopkeepers here said that women's fascination with Chinese Rakhis has now been broken. That is why women are liking indigenous Rakhis. Women and girls from rich families have started preparing to celebrate the festival by buying gold and silver Rakhis in the bullion market.

Chinese Rakhi has disappeared from the markets from cities to towns

This year Chinese rakhis are missing from all the big towns of the district including Subhash Bazar, Sufiganj, Kalpi Chauraha of Hamirpur. Thousands of shopkeepers have decorated their shops with indigenous rakhis made of silk, sandalwood and zircon on the occasion of Rakshabandhan. Shopkeepers Ramji and Prem Gupta said that women are buying indigenous rakhis from this afternoon. Apart from this, fancy rakhis are also being sold in large numbers. They said that this is the first time that there is no demand for Chinese rakhis.

Bullion trade shines with the purchase of gold and silver rakhis

Hamirpur's bullion traders Sujit Soni and Ravi Soni said that this time the demand for gold and silver rakhis has increased on Rakshabandhan festival. But women are buying silver rakhis in large numbers. They said that the price of silver rakhi ranges from seven hundred rupees to two thousand rupees. Gold rakhis worth eleven thousand rupees are also available in the market. They said that at present the price of ten grams of gold is seventy two thousand seven hundred fifty rupees while the price of silver is also eighty three thousand two hundred rupees per kilogram.
